Road Runner's Retreat

Epic night clouds rush past the old Road Runner's Retreat Restaurant in the Mojave Desert. Much of the business along Route 66 in California dried up overnight when the much quicker I-40 was completed. This was photographed during a week-long 1582-mile road trip with Mike Cooper. I illuminated the sign with a ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device while the camera shutter was open.
