A night photo of an abandoned airship of yesteryear, located in the Southwestern United States desert. The view out the cockpit reminds me of "20,000 Leagues Under the Sea" with Captain Nemo. This was photographed during a week-long 1582-mile road trip with Mike Cooper. I illuminated the interior with a green light from my handheld ProtoMachines light painting device during the two minute exposure.
Epic night clouds rush past the old Road Runner's Retreat Restaurant in the Mojave Desert. Much of the business along Route 66 in California dried up overnight when the much quicker I-40 was completed. This was photographed during a week-long 1582-mile road trip with Mike Cooper. I illuminated the sign with a ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device while the camera shutter was open.
The famous Roy's Cafe sign, a favorite subject of night photographers everywhere. It's odd that I've only gotten around to photographing this iconic sign now. Backlit by a full moon, lit with ProtoMachines handheld flashlight during a fun week-long 1582-mile night photography road trip with Mike Cooper.
