How much has a tough but idyllic looking rural life appealed to you? This beautiful area might convince you. This is Gifford Homestead, owned by the last residents of Fruita Valley, and sold to NPS, and described by Wallace Stegner as "...a sudden, intensely green little valley among the cliffs of the Waterpocket Fold, opulent with cherries, peaches, and apples in season, inhabited by a few families who were about equally good Mormons and good frontiersmen and good farmers." You can now visit there, as it's part of Capitol Reef National Park now, and even pick apples. They'll give you a ladder and let you go for it. And to answer that first question, I am longing to move from the city to a far less populated area, and places like this inspire me to this.
A night photo fisheye view of the seemingly crystallized back window of an old Edsel, lit with warm white and blue light from various angles with a handheld ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device during this long exposure. There's an obvious violence in the appearance of the windshield, and I love to bring out the cracks with the lighting. This will likely appear in my second book of night photography. Thanks for looking.
Night photo in the Mojave Desert with a very old school schoolbus that seems straight out of Mad Max or Wasteland Weekend.
