There's such a beauty, however faded, in these vintage vehicles. An old Chevrolet flatbed soaks up the winter moon. This was photographed at a decommissioned WWII airfield in California. Interior illuminated with a red light, exterior with a warm white light from the ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device on a chilly night in February. American Natives sometimes referred to the February full moon as the snow moon, and while we were missing snow in this area, it still seems fitting. Maybe, we will sneak this into my second book of night photography, which I hope to finish by fall.
A little bit of windshield wiper fluid and we're back in business. Night photo with some fun light painting. I snuck in a quick visit just before Thanksgiving Day, photographing for two nights in a row in the California desert near the Mexican border. And I managed to stay awake for Thanksgiving dinner the following evening, a great success. Although warm and sunny during the day, by the time I packed up, it was below freezing and I had ice on my windshield. I illuminated the scene with a ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device during the exposure. Thanks for looking.
Night photo of some massive gears in this long exposure photo showing the celestial movements of the beautiful desert sky. I snuck in a quick visit just before Thanksgiving Day, photographing for two nights in a row in the California desert near the Mexican border. And I managed to stay awake for Thanksgiving dinner the following evening!! Although warm and sunny during the day, by the time I packed up, it was below freezing and I had ice on my windshield. I illuminated the scene from several angles with a handheld ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device during the exposure. Thanks for looking.
