Late night at an enormous abandoned WWII airfield hangar, formerly housing B-24 Liberator bombers, two of which crashed within an hour of each other, among other accidents, leading some to believe the airfield to be cursed. But they seemed to be cursed only by flying poorly designed airplanes. Nevada.
A ghost in the machinery. I brought the camera down low, facing up, and used a handheld flashlight to illuminate the gears with some red light while the tripod-mounted camera shutter was open for 75 seconds in this long exposure night image. I wanted the clouds to look like they were streaking out of the gears as well, just to accentuate the illumination of the light. Mojave Desert, California.
