A night photo fisheye view with the moon hanging over a construction crane truck. I set up the camera behind the crane truck and waited until the moon hung perfectly overhead before taking this photo. I snuck in a quick visit just before Thanksgiving Day, photographing for two nights in a row in the California desert near the Mexican border. And I managed to stay awake for Thanksgiving dinner the following evening, a great success. Although warm and sunny during the day, by the time I packed up, it was below freezing and I had ice on my windshield. I illuminated the scene with a handheld ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device during the exposure. Thanks for looking!
The grounded remains of what I believe is a rare and rusty 1920s Fageol truck cab. Night photo with some fun light painting. I snuck in a quick visit just before Thanksgiving Day, photographing for two nights in a row in that desert of mystery near the border of Mexico. And I managed to stay awake for Thanksgiving dinner the following evening, a great success. Although warm and sunny during the day, by the time I packed up, it was below freezing and I had ice on my windshield. I illuminated the scene with a ProtoMachines LED2 light painting device during the exposure while the stars in the heavens curved endlessly overhead. Thanks for looking.
Much of my family has served in the U.S. military, so I suppose I have a soft spot for airplanes and other vehicles. These military vehicles are resting under the night sky in a decommissioned WWII airfield in California, waiting for a night photographer to come along and say hello. One of the other photographers with me kept commenting on how these vehicles made him feel at home, as he drove tanks some years back. Thanks for looking.
